Airway Management


Airway Management can be taken as a stand-alone course, or added to BLS. We recommend taking Oxygen Therapy at the same time.

Red Cross Airway Management can be run as a stand-alone course (1-2 hours), or as a BLS add-on (1 hour). Successful participants will receive a 3-year certification in Airway Management (digital certificate).

Who should take Airway Management?

In-facility and health care providers (nursing, care aides, dental industry, medical offices etc.), pre-hospital care groups (fire departments, rescue teams, sports therapists, SCUBA divers, ski patrol, etc.).

What will I learn?

Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create a patent airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunct based on the patient’s condition.
