    Some health problems may prevent you from using a respirator. If you, your supervisor, or your employer has any doubt or concern about your ability to use a respirator, you should be examined by a doctor knowledgeable in occupational health prior to booking your fit test. 

Description

Please join us for a special mask fit testing session organized especially for UBC Occupational Therapy Students! During our session we will complete:

-Respirator selection;
-Respirator limitations;
-Sensitivity test and fit test; and
-Donning and user seal checks;

We will provide you with a disposable 3M N95 1860, 1860s or 1870 + mask for testing. 

Before coming in for a fit test, please ensure you:
-Have not had anything to eat/drink at least 15 min prior to your appointment;
-Have not smoked within 15 min of your appointment;
-Have removed any facial hair that will come between the seal of the mask and your skin (shave before your test!)
